Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia
We understand we have students who rely on the school to provide breakfast and lunch for their child, please know that there are several services available to assist you should the school be closed for an extended period. The public can drop off donations of non-perishable food at any designated site and the Virginia Beach Fire Department will transport that food to the Foodbank for distribution to families in need.

Participation in Pandemic-EBT For Eligible Households
The Virginia Department of Social Services will issue Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) benefits to current Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) households and to non-SNAP households, which include children eligible for free and reduced-price school meals, through Virginia’s SNAP EBT card system.

FAQs about Pandemic-EBT for Households and Recipients
Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer is a temporary food benefit available in Virginia to families with students who would have received free or reduced-price meals if schools were open. The program is authorized through the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service.
