2025 Citywide Volunteers of the Year

Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) values and promotes active engagement of the community in all our schools. The Office of Family and Community Engagement coordinates many volunteer opportunities for community members to interact and contribute to the academic achievement of our students and the overall continuous improvement of VBCPS.

2025-26 federal grant information presented to Virginia Beach School Board

The Virginia Beach School Board received information about proposed federal grant applications at its May 13 meeting. For the 2025-26 school year, Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) would receive approximately $21.6 million in formula grant funds through programs authorized under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA) as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA).

Online Registration

Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) is pleased to offer online registration to all schools within the division for new students.EnrollmentParentVue

Enrollment

Online registration is available for new registrations ONLY. The new, online system will allow parents and guardians to provide basic information about their child, including health details. Families of new students must still make an appointment with the school in order to finalize registration. For more detailed information on what you will need to bring to complete registering your child, please visit our student registration page.

After completing the registration application online, Parents are to call the school and schedule an appointment to complete the registration process or the school registrars may reach out to the parent if the process has been started online.

 

ParentVue

In order to access Online Registration, you must have an active ParentVUE account. To create an account for Online Registration, please click the button "More Options," select "Create a New Account," and follow the prompts.

If you have ever had a child enrolled in a VBCPS school, you likely have an existing ParentVUE account. If you have never used your ParentVUE account, it may not be active. Please contact the school where your child is currently enrolled to have your account activated and a temporary password given to you. If you have forgotten your password, click "Forget your password? Click here." You will need to know your email account to reset your password.
