Why Lynnhaven Middle School?

LynnhavenVirginia Beach City Public Schools will house the middle school years program of An Achievable Dream Academy at Lynnhaven Middle School.

School administration selected Lynnhaven as the site for the academy's middle school offerings after completing a facilities study of the city. Lynnhaven Middle has the building capacity to house An Achievable Dream Academy in addition to the school's current enrollment. Lynnhaven Middle School is also close in proximity to the academy's elementary program at Seatack Elementary School.

Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) and An Achievable Dream Academy (AADA) expands its partnership as the design phase for a new addition at Lynnhaven MS (LMS) is officially underway. Construction of an approximately 25,000 square foot addition is slated to begin fall of 2021. This will be home to the first class of the Lynnhaven AADA High School Program, including 9th through 12th graders. The completion date for the new building is January of 2023.

Programming and planning workshops are currently underway, which will expand to include stakeholder groups. A presentation to the community on the classroom addition is planned for later in the 20/21 school year.
