Virginia Beach school earns national distinguished school award

Rosemont Elementary School has been named a 2019-2020 National ESEA Distinguished School. Two schools from every state receive the award, which is presented by the National Association of ESEA State Program Administrators. Rosemont is being acknowledged for demonstrating exceptional student performance for two consecutive years.

"Under Principal Cari Hall's leadership, Rosemont Elementary School's educators are tireless in their efforts to serve not only the hearts and minds of their students, but also those of their families and the entire community," said Dr. Aaron Spence, superintendent of Virginia Beach City Public Schools. "This recognition is validation of their dedication to the children of Virginia Beach."
