At its Jan. 14 meeting, the School Board of the City of Virginia Beach elected Kathleen Brown as chair and Carolyn Weems as vice chair. Brown has served on the School Board for two years and Weems for 22 years.

Middle School
During their time in middle school, students will work alongside caring and capable teachers, staff and administrators while tackling a rigorous instructional program. VBCPS sets high expectations for our students to excel through their academics, their leadership and in their service to others.
Virginia Beach City middle schools offer many exciting academic and extracurricular opportunities for our students. All schools encourage students and families to take advantage of all the programs and events in order to make the most of the middle school experience.
