Summer School

  1. Generally

    Summer school programs may be operated under the direction of the Superintendent. Summer schools shall be designed to: enrich the education of students; to provide remediation to students in areas of need; and to permit students to earn credits needed for graduation or promotion.

    The Summer School program shall be equal in quality to that offered during the regular school term.

    Virginia Board of Education requirements for an accredited summer school shall be met.

  2. Fees

    Summer school programs shall be financed by fees as determined by the School Board.
