INSTRUCTION
Curriculum Strategies
- The content of the curriculum will provide a planned and balanced program of instruction that is in keeping with the abilities, interests, and educational needs of students.
- The curriculum will provide for a fundamental core of knowledge so that, minimally, upon graduation, each student will have demonstrated an ability to read, write, think, evaluate, reason, and compute.
- Adequate plans for enrichment and remediation will be provided for students in need of such assistance.
- In order to develop an appreciation of other cultures, opportunities for multicultural experiences are encouraged.
- The curriculum will promote, by precept and example, character-building, traditional American social values, good citizenship, honesty, and love of country.
- The curriculum will incorporate effective instructional strategies to address the needs of an increasingly diverse and transient population.
- The School Board will approve all major changes to the curriculum.
