The Virginia Beach City Public Schools invite you to participate in its Talent Bank, a system that offers Virginia Beach residents opportunities to share their talents, skills and opinions through an appointment to school division committees, task forces and/or advisory councils.

Samples of school system committees, task forces and advisory councils are listed below to help you determine possible areas of service.

• Alternative Education Task Force
• Curriculum and Instruction Committees
• Diversity Awareness Committee
• Education Foundation Committees
• Partnership Advisory Link (PAL) School Calendar Committee
• School Planning Councils
• Special Education Advisory Council
• Technical and Career Education General Advisory Council
• Textbook Adoption Committee
• The Strategic Action Plan Committees on Technology, Diversity, Employee Development and Accountability, and Community and Parent Involvement

The school division may also use the Talent Bank to select qualified applicants to serve as resource volunteers and speakers on specialized topics.

Persons who wish to be considered for service on a committee, advisory council, or task force should complete the Confidential Resume Form and fax or mail this form back to the school division.
