This partnership provides workforce development activities to ATC students, supplementing classroom instruction with practical, hands-on experiences. Electronic Systems has provided ATC students with mentors and internship sites, and students receive technical instruction leading toward Cisco Certified Network Associate certification. Through teaching students about industry and market trends, as well as giving them specific and marketable skills, Electronic Systems has augmented its pool of well trained employees, while giving ATC students hands on training they could not get from classroom instruction alone. According to one intern, "Interning at ESI helped me to increase my knowledge about networking and it was a really great experience."
