Model Partnerships
2002-2003 School Year

CISCO Systems, Inc. and Advanced Technology Center For the last three years, this partnership has connected John Nelson's students in the Advanced Technology Center's CISCO Networking Academy with professionals in the business world, helping train students while simultaneously addressing the worker shortage in the field of information technology. CISCO employees assist with the establishment of student internships in the computer networking industry; donate state-of-the-art equipment for classroom use; design hands-on class projects; serve as guest speakers and career mentors; and coordinate student community service projects in the networking field. And, for the last two years running, the CISCO Networking Academy students have won their state competition and will go on to compete at the National Championships. Clearly, this partnership is wired for success.
