Central Business District Association and Princess Anne High School This 16-year old partnership aims to bring the business community and high school students together as learning partners through job-shadowing and a lunchtime speaker series. Annually, approximately 50 students are afforded the opportunity to experience the work environment of their choice "up close and personal," while approximately 35 partner representatives have an opportunity to meet and network with the future employees and leaders of our community. The monthly luncheon series culminates with the annual Internship Day each March, which concludes with a special luncheon featuring a keynote address by education and business leaders in our community. This partnership provides students with a "taste" of the business world, encouraging them to explore prospective careers and to align their expectations with the realities of the work world.  |
