Advanced Technology Institute and Virginia Beach Central Academy For the last four years, this partnership has been in high gear, thanks in large part to the efforts of automotive servicing teacher and school partnership coordinator, Beno Rubin. The Advanced Technology Institute (ATI) helped Central Academy achieve the manufacturer's certification from the Automotive Youth Education System, a credential that provides students with access to more mentorship opportunities at area dealerships. Additionally, ATI annually sponsors and coordinates the state VICA competition for automotive servicing that is hosted at Central Academy, offering scholarships to help students further their career training in the automotive industry. Last, but not least, ATI representatives serve on Central Academy's planning council to help keep all engines humming.  |
