2001 Exemplary Partnership Award Winner

EODTEU2 and Great Neck Middle School The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training and Evaluation Unit Two (EODTEU 2) and Great Neck Middle School entered into partnership in January 1999. The partnership has provided mentors for students, career education, and volunteers for athletic and social events at the school. Eleven mentors from the command worked with at-risk young men at Great Neck after receiving training from the school. Several members of the command, including the school's volunteer of the year Davin Strang, have been of great assistance to the Great Neck wrestling team, which has enjoyed an undefeated season and won the city championship. Job shadowing and field day activities round out partnership activities for the school and EODTEU2.
