Kemps Landing Magnet At Kemps Landing Magnet School, this year's honored volunteer is Lynn Francois. Lynn made Kemps Landing's move from Kempsville Road to Jericho Road much easier on all involved. Last spring, Lynn organized a team of parents to pack and prepare for the move. Once the move took place, under Lynn's leadership, unpacking was handled with equal efficiency that extended even to decorating the teacher's lounge and making curtains for the offices. After the move, Lynn worked with the city's landscape architects to design flowerbeds and an outdoor classroom. But probably Lynn's greatest contribution has been her work with Phoenix Link, a communication system that sends information to parents via email. This method ensures that important news for parents doesn't remain in the bottoms of bookbags!
