Adult Learning Center (Evening) At the Adult Learning Center, classes continue into the evening, when a new shift of volunteers assists staff and students. This year's Adult Learning Center Evening Volunteer of the Year is Lillian Campbell. Lillian works with English Speakers of Other Languages, including the classes her daughter Kaia Jessup teaches. Lillian brings a wealth of experience to her volunteer duties at the ALC, having served as a Red Cross and Navy relief volunteer and having taught German to elementary students. Lillian was previously employed as a teacher assistant at ALC and still comes to work as a volunteer now that she's retired. Those at the Adult Learning Center say that Lillian has done more than what's expected and has become, for many of the teachers there, a very dear friend.
