Adult Learning Center (Day) At the Adult Learning Center, Volunteer of the Year Nina Vislocky has assisted with field trips, materials reproduction, and tutoring for more than three years. She brings added individual attention and support to adults learning basic skills and English. She also uses her previous experience as an employee of the U.S. Department of Immigration and Naturalization in her work with English Speakers of Other Languages as they navigate their ESOL studies. Those who work with her report that students gravitate toward her cheerful and welcoming attitude and that she treats students as if they were family.
