Volunteers in Education

The PTA at each school offers a Volunteers-in-Education (VIE) program at all schools and coordinates the largest number of volunteers to our schools (more than 14,000 PTA volunteers counted for 2006-2007). Seniors and retired citizens are encouraged to volunteer through the Golden Circle Program . VBCPS volunteers expand and enrich activities for students and staff by serving as tutors, mentors, classroom, office, and library assistants and as participants on curriculum committees and school planning councils.
