Lyndon Remias was elected to the School Board in May 2006 for his first term. Mr. Remias is a Senior Operational Auditor with Amerigroup Corporation in Virginia Beach. He has over 17 years of operational, financial and compliance auditing experience as a certified public accountant and a certified internal auditor. Mr. Remias is a graduate of Old Dominion University. He is active in the community, serving as youth soccer coach and a Boy Scout den leader. He is the founding president of the Young Filipino-American Professionals of Hampton Roads. Mr. Remias is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Beach Public Schools Education Foundation; the Old Dominion University Department of Accounting Advisory Council; and the United Way Funding Panel. He is married and has two children who attend Virginia Beach City Public Schools.
