Dan R. Lowe was elected to the School Board in 1998 and re-elected in 2002 and 2006. He retired from the U.S. Navy after serving 20 years in uniform and 20 years as a civilian employee. Mr. Lowe served as vice president of a consulting firm involved in contracting with the federal government. He also served as an adjunct professor for 10 years at Golden Gate University and Troy State University. Mr. Lowe received a master’s degree in information systems technology from The George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in business management from Golden Gate University. His two grown children attended Virginia Beach City Public Schools.
