Teaching Opportunities

• Grade point averages, student teaching evaluations, references, and interview ratings are used to form a pool of qualified applicants.
• Principals conduct second interviews and make hiring recommendations to the Human Resources staff who extend all official offers.

Prospective teachers can submit an application to Virginia Beach City Public Schools one of three ways:

• in person through the Department of Human Resources

In addition to online resources, applications are also available at the VBCPS Department of Human Resources, located in the School Administration Building (Virginia Beach Municipal Center, 2512 George Mason Drive, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23456-0038) and at all of our schools in their main offices.
