Seatack Elementary School will host a “Tea with the Principal and Teachers of Seatack Elementary School” on Thursday, October 23, to discuss the benefits of year- round schools.

In an effort to meet the needs of busy parents who may be unable to visit the school, the  event will be held in the Seatack community at the Atlantis Apartment Community Center located at 999 Atlantis Drive from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Principal Larry Ames and his staff will discuss the benefits of the year-round school calendar which include smaller class sizes, decreased summer/holiday learning loss, opportunities for remediation and enhancement every nine weeks; and, improved attendance, attitude and behavior.

Virginia Beach City Public Schools operates four year-round schools including Seatack, Plaza, Corporate Landing and Point O’View elementary schools.
