Students and their parents are invited to attend Virginia Beach City Public Schools’ annual citywide College Night slated for Thursday, October 30, 2008, from
5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and speak with nearly 170 college/university representatives as well as representatives from proprietary schools and the armed forces. In addition, two financial aid seminars are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

College Night is sponsored by the Office of Guidance Services and the high school guidance departments. The event is targeted to middle and high school students who are interested in pursuing postgraduate education once they have earned their high school diplomas. Students and their parents will have the opportunity to speak with college and university representatives concerning programs of studies, admissions requirements, costs, and student life. There is no admission charge to attend College Night.
