The Special Education Advisory Committee, composed of parents, individuals with disabilities, and other members of the community interested in special education, meets every month to discuss long-range plans and issues in special education. Members of the committee are appointed by the School Board.

All meetings of the committee are open to the public and are advertised in the Beacon, on Cable Channel VBTV 48, Verizon 47, and Cavalier 119 and in Dialogue, the school system’s special education newsletter.
