The Virginia Beach School Board will hold its next regular meeting on Tuesday, May 6, at the School Administration Building. The informal meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the einstein.lab. A workshop will be held to address the following:

• Commonwealth Challenge
• Summer School Tuition Rates for FY2008-09

A closed meeting will follow the workshop, if necessary.

The Hearing of Citizens and Delegations on Non-Agenda Items will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. in the School Board Room. The formal meeting, will be broadcast live on VBTV (Cox Channel 47, Verizon 47, Cavalier 118) beginning at 6:15 p.m. It will include student, employee and public awards and recognition, and a hearing of citizens and delegations on agenda items. A second workshop addressing 2007-2008 Federal Grant Applications (NCLB) and Program of Work committee reports will follow in the einstein.lab. Delegations and citizens wishing to address the Board on May 6 should sign up to speak on agenda items by contacting the Clerk of the School Board at 263.1016 by noon the day of the meeting and by 3:00 p.m. for non-agenda items.
