The Virginia Beach School Board will hold its next regular meeting on Tuesday, February 19, at the School Administration Building. The informal meeting will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the einstein.lab. A workshop will be held to address the following:

• FY 2008/09 & 2009/10 Superintendent’s Biennial Estimate of Needs
• Recommendations for Restructuring the Behind-the-Wheel Driver Education Program
• Academy and Advanced Academic Programs Longitudinal Study Update

A closed meeting will be held immediately following the workshop, if needed.

The Hearing of Citizens and Delegations on Non-Agenda Items will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. in the School Board Room. The formal meeting, which will be broadcast live on VBTV Channel 47 beginning at 6:15 p.m., includes student, employee and public awards and recognition, and a hearing of citizens and delegations on agenda items. The workshop will continue in Room 113 after committee reports, if needed. The current meeting agenda and supporting documents are available for public review on vbschools.com.

Delegations and citizens wishing to address the Board on February 19 should sign up to speak on agenda items by contacting the Clerk of the School Board at 263.1016 by noon the day of the meeting and by 3:00 p.m. for non-agenda items.
