Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) will sponsor a Community Open House on Wednesday, January 30, 2008, from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. The goal of the Open House is to receive input from the public regarding special education services that will help VBCPS refine the program for greater success. The event will be held at the Laskin Road Annex, located at 1413 Laskin Road in Virginia Beach.

Special education discussion topics will be varied and open, ranging from accommodations and eligibility to training and parental involvement. Those interested in attending have the option of staying for the entire Open House, or for only a short time. Through an activity called “Walk About,” participants will have the opportunity to share suggestions through written comments.
