Virginia Beach School Board To Meet January 8

The Virginia Beach School Board will hold its next regular meeting on Tuesday, January 8, at the School Administration Building. The informal meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the einstein.lab. A workshop will be held to address the following:

• Capital Improvement Program Update
• 2007-2008 Program Evaluation Schedule

A closed meeting to discuss publicly held property will be held immediately following the workshop.

The Hearing of Citizens and Delegations on Non-Agenda Items will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. in the School Board Room. The formal meeting, which will be broadcast live on VBTV Channel 47 beginning at 6:15 p.m., includes student, employee and public awards and recognition, and a hearing of citizens and delegations on agenda items. A second workshop addressing the School Board’s Program of Work will be held after committee reports. Delegations and citizens wishing to address the Board on January 8 should sign up to speak on agenda items by contacting the Clerk of the School Board at 263.1016 by noon the day of the meeting and by 3:00 p.m. for non-agenda items.
