The Virginia Beach School Board will hold its next regular meeting on Wednesday, November 7, at the School Administration Building. The informal meeting will convene at 4:00 p.m. in the einstein.lab. Workshops will be held to address the following:

• Employee Input Process Policy 4-8
• 2008 General Assembly Legislative Agenda
• School Board Compensation
• School Board Committee Updates

A closed meeting will be held as needed.

The Hearing of Citizens and Delegations on Non-Agenda Items during an informal meeting will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. in the School Board Room. A public hearing to address the 2008-09 and 2009-10 Operating Budget and
2008-09 through 2013-14 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) will begin at
6:15 p.m. and will be broadcast live on VBTV Channel 47. The Board’s formal meeting will follow. The current meeting agenda and supporting documents are available for public review on the School Division’s Web site.

Delegations and citizens wishing to address the Board on November 7 should sign up to speak on agenda items by contacting the Clerk of the School Board at 263.1016 by noon the day of the meeting and by 3:00 p.m. for non-agenda items.
