The Virginia Beach School Board traditionally holds its regular meetings on the first and third Tuesday of each month in the Board Room of the School Administration Building located in the Municipal Center complex.
Unless otherwise advertised, the School Board will meet on the dates specified below. The calendar was approved at the July 12, 2007, meeting as part of the Board’s organizational procedures. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the schedule of regular meetings for the 2007-2008 academic year is as follows:

The Hearing of Citizens and Delegations on Non-Agenda Items begins promptly at 6:00 p.m. in the School Board room. The Formal Meeting which begins at 6:15 p.m. in the School Board Room includes student, employee and public awards and recognition, and a hearing of citizens and delegations. To arrange to speak, citizens may call the Clerk of the Board at 757.263.1016.
Open meetings are aired live on VBTV Channel 47. Meeting dates and times are subject to change at the discretion of the Board. Citizens should check the Beacon for updated schedules for Channel 47 or check the school division’s Web site at www.vbschools.com for the School Board schedule and other information regarding meetings. |
