The Virginia Beach School Board will hold its next regular meeting on Tuesday, August 21, at the School Administration Building. The informal meeting will convene at 4:30 p.m. in the einstein.lab. A Workshop will be held addressing the Health Plan 2008 and a Boardsmanship Discussion. A closed meeting will follow, if necessary.

The Hearing of Citizens and Delegations on Non-Agenda Items during an informal meeting will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. in the School Board Room. The formal meeting, which will be broadcast live on VBTV Channel 47, will begin at 6:15 p.m. and includes student, employee and public awards and recognition, and a hearing of citizens and delegations. A second workshop will be held after the vote on remaining action items to discuss the Comprehensive Long Range Facilities Master Plan. The current meeting agenda and supporting documents are available for public review on the School Division’s Web site.

Delegations and citizens wishing to address the Board on August 21 should sign up to speak on agenda items by contacting the Clerk of the School Board at 263.1016 by noon the day of the meeting and by 3:00 p.m. for non-agenda items.
