School Board Recognizes 42 Schools Achieving Full Accreditation Superintendent Timothy R. Jenney and the Virginia Beach School Board will recognize 42 schools that have achieved full accreditation on the Spring 2001 Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) tests at their next School Board meeting on Tuesday, December 18, 2001. A reception will be held on the side lawn of the School Administration Building starting at 5:00 p.m. and will kick off the "SOL-a-bration." Representatives from all 42 schools and special guests have been invited and will be entertained by the Princess Anne High School Jazz Ensemble under the direction of John Boyd and the Ocean Lakes High School Madrigals under the direction of Holly Sunderland. Dr. Jenney and School Board Chairman Dan Edwards will offer congratulatory remarks. Following the reception, school delegations and guests will proceed to the School Board Room where a delegation representing each fully accredited school will be honored during the recognition portion of the Board meeting. School representatives will receive a commemorative plaque and the Superintendent's "Ahead of the Curve" award especially designed to recognize their outstanding achievement.
