Broken Water Main Causes Delays in Afternoon Bus Transportation Students attending schools in the northern region of the city and who rely on transportation with a school bus route that travels across the Lesner Bridge on Shore Drive, will arrive home this afternoon approximately 30-45 minutes late due to a broken water main at the foot of the Lesner Bridge. In order to repair the water main, both bridge spans of the Lesner Bridge will be closed until 4:00 p.m. All vehicles will be required to use an alternate route. Students attending the following schools will most likely be affected by this traffic delay: Elementary Middle High Bayside Elementary John B. Dey Elementary Hermitage Elementary Luxford Elementary Newtown Road Elem. Shelton Park Elementary Williams Elementary Bayside Middle Great Neck Middle Independence Middle Cox High
