Schools Seek Preschoolers Public schools have a legal obligation to serve special education students from birth to age 21. To find preschoolers eligible for services, Child Find publicizes the availability of programs for these children and follows up on evaluation requests from concerned parents. If parents suspect their children are eligible for services for speech/language delays, and/or developmental delays, they may call the Special Education Office, located in the Laskin Road Annex at (757) 437-6535. ###
