New ParentOnline System Makes
Paying
for Children’s Breakfast and
Lunches ‘Smooth as Butter’

Parents who want to stop worrying about their children forgetting or losing their school breakfast and lunch money should take note of the school system’s new online payment system, called ParentOnline. This new system, replaces the former one, MySchoolBucks. Any remaining balances parents had left over in that system have been transferred to ParentOnline. The only thing left for parents to do is create a ParentOnline new account. To do so, simply visit: http://www.vbschools.com/food_services/prepaid.asp and click on the link on the “Pay for meals online” link.

ParentOnline will also allow parents to remotely monitor their child’s cafeteria account balances and purchases; set-up hassle-free, automatic payments for each child; and arrange for low balance e-mail message alerts. A separate account must be established for each school child in the family. To do so, parents must use their child’s Student ID number. If parents do not know that number they can obtain it from their child’s school.

Debit and credit cards must be used to complete a payment transaction. A small per-transaction convenience fee of 5 percent will be charged for each payment. Any money left in the students’ account at the end of the school year will be transferred when the student moves to another grade or school.

Those who have questions or want further information, please contact the Office of Food Services, at 757.263.1101.
