Regulation 7-28.1
COMMUNITY RELATIONS
Drug Education Advisory Committee
A. Purpose
To assist in the establishment of division-wide programs of drug abuse education and prevention, coordinated with related community efforts and resources, a drug education advisory committee is activated.
B. Members
The committee shall be composed of parents, teachers, officers of local government, medical professionals, officers of the law enforcement community, representatives from organizations, and other groups with interest and expertise in the field of drug abuse education and prevention.
C. Appointment/Term of Office
Committee members shall be appointed by the superintendent to serve a term of two years on a rotating basis.
D. Meetings
In cooperation with committee members the superintendent, or a designee, shall prepare an annual schedule of meetings.
E. Objective
The committee's primary objective shall be to set forth a comprehensive plan for programs to be carried out by the division.
F. Reports
Such state and federal reports as may be required shall be submitted to the agencies concerned through the school board.
