COMMUNITY RELATIONS

Citizens' Advisory Committees: Gifted Educations Citizens’ Advisory Committee

  1. A local advisory committee for gifted education (“Advisory Committee”) shall be established by the Superintendent on behalf of the School Board as mandated in the legal reference to this policy. The Superintendent shall promulgate regulations to require the Advisory Committee to comply with state law and Virginia Board of Education regulations.
  2. The School Board shall determine the membership of the Advisory Committee in accordance with state law and Virginia Board of Education regulations.
  3. The written annual review of the Local Plan by the Advisory Committee shall be made in accordance with state law and Virginia Board of Education regulations and submitted to the School Board and Superintendent by the Advisory Committee.
