COMMUNITY RELATIONS

Community Involvement/Volunteers: Mentorship Program

  1. Generally

    The Department of Media and Communications Development through its Office of Community Relations, will support the development and implementation of school-based mentorship programs for students.

  2. Objectives

    1. To provide opportunities for students to obtain necessary social skills;

    2. To provide opportunities for students to participate in a variety of activities to which they might otherwise not be exposed;

    3. To connect students to positive role models and motivational programs that will positively impact the student;

    4. To improve student attendance;

    5. To provide opportunities for students to understand business, the skills needed to succeed in the work place and career choices.
