INSTRUCTION

Governor's School for the Arts

A.  Auditions

Students seeking admission to the Governor's School for the Arts are selected by separate audition by magnet school personnel.

B.  Eligibility/Placement Committee for the Artistically Gifted

This is a division-wide committee that includes an administrator of the gifted program, a specialist and/or professional in the specific art, and a gifted program teacher.

C.  Placement Recommendation

If the eligibility/placement committee determines that the student meets the criteria for the program, the student will be placed on the list of selected gifted students and a placement recommendation will be made.
