INSTRUCTION
Adult Education
A. The Basic Education Program is designed to meet the educational needs of those adults who have not completed high school.
B. General Adult Education Program is designed to include all high school courses which satisfy high school graduation requirements.
1. Entrance Requirements - The student who enters the General Adult Education program and is an applicant for a high school diploma must furnish p roof that elementary school has been satisfactorily completed and must not be enrolled in a regular day school program.
2. Graduation Requirements - All diploma applicants in the General Adult Education program must meet the graduation requirements established by the Virginia Department of Education and the School Board.
C. The General Educational Development (GED) program is designed to assist adults with the Virginia Department of Education high school equivalency test.
