INSTRUCTION
Career Education
- Definition
Career education is the totality of experiences infused into the division's curriculum (K-12) through which students learn about work as a part of their way of life, and through which they relate work values to other life roles and choices.
- Objectives
- To assist students in developing workplace readiness skills that is transferable to the workplace.
- To include career awareness activities to all elementary classrooms.
- To improve the relevance of the middle and high school curricula to career planning.
- To develop effective career resource materials.
- Implementation
The Superintendent shall designate a member of the licensed staff to coordinate the career education program.
