INSTRUCTION

Career Education

  1. Definition

    Career education is the totality of experiences infused into the division's curriculum (K-12) through which students learn about work as a part of their way of life, and through which they relate work values to other life roles and choices.

  2. Objectives

    1. To assist students in developing workplace readiness skills that is transferable to the workplace.
    2. To include career awareness activities to all elementary classrooms.
    3. To improve the relevance of the middle and high school curricula to career planning.
    4. To develop effective career resource materials.

  3. Implementation

    The Superintendent shall designate a member of the licensed staff to coordinate the career education program.
