No students, after arrival, may leave school grounds without approval of the principal or a designee.

B.  Early Dismissal

Students shall not be permitted to leave school prior to dismissal at the request of or in company of anyone other than a school employee or a parent or guardian, unless the express permission of the parent or guardian is first secured. Every precaution is to be taken to make sure that a telephone request for a student to be sent home is made by a responsible person before the student is permitted to leave school.

In the case of marital difficulty where one parent provides evidence of legal custody granted by the court and has requested that the student not be permitted to leave with the other parent, the request is to be honored.

C.  Students will not be released to other adults without the consent of the parent or legal guardian with the following exceptions: a school employee, a police officer, or a court official.

D.  Checkout Point

Each school will have a central checkout point for students leaving school prior to the dismissal time.
