Regulation 5-25.1

STUDENTS

Students Without Records

The following procedures will be used in cases where school records are unavailable.

A. School personnel will obtain a statement from the parent or legal guardian attesting to the fact that records are not available.

B. The student's educational background will be reconstructed and the student will be placed in the appropriate grade; under certain circumstances, the student should be placed at the age-appropriate level.

C. Secondary students will be scheduled to earn an average of 5 1/2 credits for each grade level of enrollment.

D. Students who complete the required subjects and earn 5 1/2 credits per year from the time of entering the local school division will be eligible for graduation.

E. The transcript will contain an explanation of the actions taken.
