BUSINESS AND NONINSTRUCTIONAL OPERATIONS

Free and Reduced-Price Meals

A.  Generally

The board approves of the federal program of free and reduced meals. The board shall annually consider the agreement and directs the administration to be in compliance with all aspects of same.

B.  Participation in Payment

The board seeks to encourage families to pay whatever they reasonable can toward the price of the meal. However, under no conditions shall a child be denied a meal because of inability to pay all or part of the price of the mea l.

C.  Protection of Anonymity of Students

The school board directs the administration to protect the anonymity of the student receiving free and/or reduced price-meals.

D.  Depriving Student of Lunch

The superintendent shall ensure that no student is deprived of lunch.
