BUSINESS AND NONINSTRUCTIONAL OPERATIONS
Safety: Drinking Water Quality Control
A. Generally
The administration is authorized to solicit bids for testing the amount of lead in the division's drinking water supply by a state-certified laboratory using methods approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
B. Guidelines
The EPA manual Lead in School Drinking Water guidelines for school officials to school officials to detect, reduce or eliminate lead in school drinking water are approved as regulations implementing this policy.
C. Public Notification
The results of any testing for lead contamination shall be made available to the public. School officials shall notify parents/guardians and employees of the availability
