The House Students Built Sale of 7th House Project benefits Foundation

In September 2007 Virginia Beach students, staff, and volunteers began construction on the Education Foundation’s 7th House Project located at 816 13th Street. “The House That Students Built” (THTSB) was put on the market during the summer of 2009 and sold in February 2010 for $327,000. Thanks to the donation of time and resources from more than 40 businesses, the sale of the house generated $80,000 to benefit the Education Foundation and fund future teacher grant projects. Plans for the 8th House Project at 413 23rd 1⁄2 Street are already underway.
