Virtual Virginia Beach e-Learning Who: Rising 9th through 12th grade students who have successfully completed Algebra I or Algebra I(X) and meet all other eligibility requirements may apply. Students and parents should note that all programs are dependent on sufficient enrollment and the availability of qualified and appropriately endorsed instructional staff. When: The course begins on the first day of Summer School, June 23, 2008, with a mandatory face-to-face orientation for students and parents at 6:30 p.m. at Landstown High. All coursework must be completed by the last day of school. Important Dates for Summer 2008 Online Geometry:
Where: The course will be taken online; however, there will be several required face-to-face meetings. Students will need a computer with Internet access at home, where the coursework will be done. Cost: The fee for online summer school courses is the same as for face-to-face summer school courses. Drop Policy: According to School Board Regulation 5-26.2, a year course dropped on or after the eighth day of summer school must be counted as an "E" and included in class rank. A semester course dropped on or after the second day after the issuance of progress reports must be counted as an "E" and included in class rank. The drop should be recorded as "WF". Testing:
