Talk before your teen quits the team

Sports participation builds fitness and character and can motivate teens to do their best. But what if your teen wants to quit the team? Ask her why ("I'm bored" is not a good reason). Remind her that she made a commitment to the team, and your family finishes what they start. If signing up was your idea, however, then it's probably time to let her choose her own activities. I like to swim. I'm really good at swimming and I like playing softball. Usually after school every Tuesday and Thursday, I go to Girls on the Run. Read.
