Students test STEM skills in second annual Creeds Aviation Challenge

This year, 20 schools sent their best airplane designers to participate in the Second Annual Creeds STEM Aviation Challenge. Students designed planes to compete in several events such as fastest, farthest and most hang time. See photos.

Promote reading recall in four steps

Your teen has probably mastered reading. But remembering what she read? That's tougher. Have her try this four-step process: 1. Read a paragraph, then visualize it and try to retell it. 2. Predict what will happen next. 3. Ask questions, such as "What's the main idea?" and "What supports it?" 4. Try to find links between the reading and things she has already learned. Read more here.
