Abraham Lincoln was born on this day in 1809. Although he had only a little more than a year of formal education, Lincoln learned to love reading and was mostly self-educated. Plan a trip to the library with your child this week and check out a book on Abraham Lincoln. Ask the librarian to help you find one at your child's reading level. Then talk about how reading helped Lincoln accomplish great things. Read more here.
