School Meals - Do 'Em DailyALL students in Virginia Beach City Public Schools are invited to enjoy a nutritious breakfast and lunch at school every day. Well balanced student menus are planned by a registered dietician. Hearty breakfast meal choices include such items as Pancake and Sausage, Scrambled Eggs with Waffle, Chicken Biscuit, English Muffin with Egg Patty and Cheese, Cereal and Yogurt. Lunch meal choices include such items as Vegetable Pizza, Hamburgers, Barbecue, Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, Nachos, Fish and Shrimp Basket, Popcorn Chicken.

Money

Your child’s school uses a computerized point of service system which allows students to have individual accounts for pre-payment of meals/snacks and payment at the time of service. This system lessens the need for students to bring money to the cafeteria each day. Student accounts are used for full price meals, reduced price meals, free meals and a la carte purchases.

Each student will have two (2) accounts:

  1. Meal (breakfast and lunch)
  2. A la carte (snacks, beverages and extra meal items, etc.)

Parents must designate prepaid money for the a la carte account. Otherwise, all prepaid money will be credited to the student’s meal account.

If parents elect to send one check for multiple students, please make sure to include each Student’s ID number/SASI number on the check.

Eat with Your Child

Join your child for a school breakfast or lunch In addition to the student menu, an adult menu is offered daily along with chef salads and yogurt. No FEDERAL or STATE FUNDING is received for adult meals, therefore, adult meals are priced a la carte.
